Meet Our Teams
Managing Director
James Simpson
James is our Ironman. He has been busy over the last year preparing for and entering numerous triathlon style events, with some great results. When James isn’t training and competing, he enjoys baking bread, curing meats and eating the home-made produce with some of his favourite cheeses. He loves spending time with the family, out on the hills, down on their smallholding or lunching in a country pub. James has been at FSC since 1991 and he enjoys each and every day and the variety they bring. James believes that commitment to quality and FSC’s ability to innovate in both product and service has been the key to our success. He is determined to keep innovation at the core of our investment in the future.
Chairman
Patrick Simpson
Patrick founded FSC in 1989. Honesty is important to him and he will not tolerate dishonesty. He enjoys the people he works with at FSC and his ambition is to keep it a happy and rewarding place in which to work. Patrick likes to travel the globe, throw a dinner party or have a round of golf, and he enjoys eating all types of cuisines.
Commercial Director
Jeremy Simpson
Jeremy is an international jet setter with a taste for spicy and sophisticated cuisine. Should Jeremy invite you around for dinner he will make you tasty French style pork with root puree; a dish that avoids the consumption of the poultry that he breeds. Jeremy has been at FSC since 1994 and is motivated by the company’s belief in placing quality as number one. He would like to roll out the deli2go brand further across another couple of continents. Jeremy is disgruntled by poor customer service and works with our partners with an aim to deliver the best.
Financial Director
Paul James
Adventure hungry Paul can’t sit still; he loves climbing up or skiing down a mountain, running half marathons and playing tennis. When not exercising he enjoys a few drinks and going out for dinner whilst socialising with friends and colleagues. He is also a keen wargamer. He has been at FSC since 2003 and says that the staff make FSC what it is. His aim is to generate more wealth for FSC, it’s staff and it’s business partners.
Head of Danish Operations
Karin Ringstroem
If you were to visit Karin, (our Norwegian born, Danish resident), you would not go hungry. Karin loves to bake and cook. Some of her favourite creations include fresh bread, freshly baked danish, pizzas, pastas, as well as Indian and Thai food, quite an array. In her spare time Karin enjoys walking her dog, taking in the great outdoors, listening to rock music and following Chelsea and various other sports. She is not so keen on Manchester United or pickled Onions. Karin finds FSC a great company to work for as she enjoys the international experience she gains by working in different cultures, with different people and cuisines.
Sales Director
Subir Chakravarti
Yet another sporty colleague Subir is a mean squash and badminton player, who also enjoys a spot of cricket. Subir’s other love is travelling, and he finds joy in marking off different places he has visited around the globe. Subir enjoys most cuisines, as long as they don’t contain mushrooms, avocado, olives or cinnamon! Cooking is not his forte and you’ll be lucky to get a slice of toast if you’re invited over for dinner. Having been at FSC since 1999, Subir appreciates being surrounded by colleagues who regularly go beyond their remit to make things happen.
Operations Director
Mike Absolom
Director of CEE
Dana Cahova Harvey

CEE Account Manager
Tomas Hak
Tomas joined FSC in 2011 and he loves working in an international environment. His passions include sport, history, travel and time with the family. His favourite cuisine is Argentinian beef, probably as it reminds him of travelling in South America. At home his signature dish is grilled prawns with lime, olive oil and coriander dip. Though be warned he is not a fan of hard boiled eggs.
Consultant Deli Development Coach
Milan Halmo
Milan is one of our sporty colleagues, with a passion for ice hockey and snowboarding. Milan enjoys travelling and his favourite food is Italian. At home he cooks healthy meals like grilled meat and pasta. He has been working at FSC since 2012 and he likes the autonomy he is given in his role, though always knows support is there from his colleagues if needed. It is motivating to Milan to work for a company where his colleagues care about the company and about doing a good job.
CR Coach Team Lead CEE
Monika Grabowska
Monika started with us in October 2013, and the job suits her well as she loves to travel and visit new places, taking lots of photos as she is a keen photographer. To relax Monika either paints or cooks a special dish for her family or friends. Her favourite dishes include ‘salmon baked with lemon’ and the Polish dish called “Pierogi”- which is boiled dough pockets filled with meat or cottage cheese. Having lived in the Czech Republic for many years, Monika still can’t quite get used to the native cuisine, especially their dumplings with creamy sauces, even though they are her husband’s favourite!
Operations Manager
Eva Nedvedova
Eva likes the variety of the her weekly agenda and also the friendly atmosphere in the CEE team, and the whole of the FSC group. As Operations Manager for CZ/SK, she manages the smooth communication throughout the whole channel including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, ensuring that every day procedures work properly. Eva’s favourite food is sushi, vegetable salads and chicken, but she really dislikes liver and offal. When she goes traveling, she loves the part of Czech Republic called Šumava and in the future she would like to visit Mexico. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and going on trips all over my country. Her hobbies include card making and creating scrap books.
Business Development Consultant
Silvie Ferencova
Silvie’s favourite parts of her role, include the fast paced nature, the ability to meet new people and being able to develop new skills and learn new things on a daily basis. Her favourite food is lasagne and her she loves going to the Greek Isles. Silvie likes to be active in her spare time, and enjoys badminton and cycling, but won’t say no to a night out catching a good film at the cinema either. She really doesn’t like people who are always late, toilet hand dryers or waiting at the airport. Her future goal is to start an amateur theatre in her home town.
Customer Service Supervisor
Jo Sheffield
Jo’s favourite things to do are spending quality time with her boys and shopping, (but NOT at the same time!) If picking a favourite meal, it would be lasagne, but Jo’s least favourite food is baked beans. Jo is very chilled, but middle lane drivers on motorway makes her blood boil! Her favourite holiday destination is New York and for many years she wanted to skydive – she’s done this now, so she will have to think of something else to put on her bucket list.

Ruth aspires to one day run her own business.

David Worthington
David has a wealth of knowledge in creating exciting dishes. Thai is his favourite meal out but at home David loves to bake homemade bread. His least favourite food is his Nans over cooked roast dinners! David would love to visit Greece, Thailand and Australia, however given he is not a keen flyer, Greece will probably be the first to tick off the list. In his spare time, David likes to play football and cricket, and plays in his local teams. When not running around on a pitch, he enjoys cooking dinner for family and friends.
Field Team Administrator
Natasha Simpson
Natasha joined FSC in 2011. She enjoys working with approachable colleagues, but one day aims to be her own boss. Mark is at his happiest when he is eating out, walking his dogs or simply spending time with his daughter and partner – and even happier if accompanied with a decent real ale. Mark can’t stand rude people and very slow drivers, which must be extra frustrating as he spends most of his working day in the car! His favourite holiday destinations are Greece, (he has sailed around most of the Greek islands), and Spain as the food there is nearly as good as Italian food.Mark would like to get back into sailing soon and return to the Greek Isles.

Janine she loves spending her time cooking, baking and going to the theatre. Her favourite holiday destination is New York, because she loves to shop! Senior CR Coach
Jade Hickling
Jade joined the team in January 2015 and is our sports junkie as she loves all sorts of sports; she once did a sky dive for charity. Her favourite food is a proper traditional roast, but she’s not keen on fish, neither the taste nor texture appeal to her.Jade’s favourite holiday destination is the Maldives and she also loves the Greek islands where she can do her favourite hobby; swimming. Jade can also read music and can play the flute if persuaded.
Learning and Development Project Manager
James Shaw
James has been at FSC since 2009 and he enjoys the forward thinking way of the company and his colleagues. James likes cooking a Sunday roast but hold the custard with pudding – as he is not a fan. He can also turn his hand to making pizza from scratch. During his working day he is partial to the odd Manhattan Deli Sandwich. In his spare time James enjoys spending time with his family and playing football. He can often be spotted at Longleat – a much preferred pastime to the DIY!
CR Coach
Thomas Williams
When Thomas has a chance to enjoy his favourite food, he’d pick a rib eye steak, (cooked medium rare), with lashings of peppercorn sauce. He is however, not a fan of any food that contains a creature that has lived in the sea. Thomas loves visiting Morocco to explore the Atlas mountains and to take in the local culture. He dreams of doing a sky dive one day, but just needs to build up the courage! He spends his spare time with his family and friends doing absolutely anything, but as a self-confessed Xbox One geek, you’ll also find him playing this too.
Senior Consultant CR Coach UK and Global
Derek Watson
A lot of Derek’s time is spent with his wife and 2 children, but also following football and then Glasgow Rangers & Manchester United. Derek used to play a lot of football, but has to take it a bit easy these days due to risk of injuries. He also likes playing golf and tennis in the summer.Derek has a real desire to Visit Tromso , Alaska and the Arctic Circle – mainly to see the Aurora Borealis. He loves all food: Chinese, Indian, Italian – you name it!!!(Although anything with coriander in will be left behind) Blue skies and sunshine makes Derek really happy, along with polite people!
CR Coach, Shell Global Projects
Stephen Worthington
Steve loves Greek food, has a passion for sports and spends a lot of his spare time running, playing football and one day he hopes to run a marathon. His favourite holiday destination is Crete, where he can eat lots of Greek food! Although Steve is generally in a very good mood, he gets irritated by people that don’t indicate at roundabouts, and as he spends a lot of time on the road he sees this a lot! One of Steve’s talents is that he is capable of eating obscene amounts of food!

Sarah takes great pleasure and pride in watching her two sons play Sunday league football and when she’s not doing this, she loves spending time with her family.Sarah is very brave with a future goal to complete a bungee jump from Bloukrans Bridge in South Africa, however keep any spiders and wasps away from her!

Stuart Rogers
Stuart has always believed that work does more for a person than pay the bills. It’s important to him that he enjoys working with a great team of people, as well as having had many opportunities to progress and take on more responsibility in his time at FSC. Travelling is Stuart’s favourite thing to do during his holidays, but on a day to day basis, he enjoys watching football and trying out new restaurants. A good old fashioned Sunday roast is something that he enjoys eating as much as cooking. He has also developed a taste for seafood and has a new favourite in soft shell crab and chilli crab. Vietnam is his favourite place in the world, (so far), as it incorporates great food, amazing scenery and friendly people. With his hunger for travelling, China is at the top of the list to go to next.

CR Coach
Colin Cheetham
Colin started with FSC in August 2018 and has been really impressed by the comprehensive 4 week training plan to prepare him for being out in the field. When Colin was younger, his parents owned an ice cream van which was great, then they they later ran a cafe across the road from his high school which meant free fry ups every lunchtime.A traditional lamb roast dinner is his favourite meal to cook, but definitely not with runner beans, as he has had a dislike of them ever since being force fed them in primary school. He has spent many happy holidays in the Canary Islands but his dream holiday would be a trip to India to trace his family roots. When not working, Colin enjoys playing darts, DIY, the occasional Casino visit and after a few Godfather cocktails, he’s recently discovered a liking for karaoke.

I previously worked for Sainsbury’s as a buyer which gave me extensive commercial experience in both China and Asia generally.I studied at the University of Surrey and have an MSc in International Marketing Management. I have a wide variety of interests, love culture and diversity and have a passion for food from different countries. I am an accomplished cook and consider my personal style to be ‘New fusion’! Outside of work, I love going to theatres and concerts. I occasionally play golf and practice yoga every day.
Consultant Deli Development Coach
Sam Flint
Sam is a proper foodie and loves all food as long it’s shared with good people. That said, he is partial to proper Italian pasta dishes and a good curry. Sam hates tinned salmon, mainly because his housemate is feeding it to their new kitten and it really smells! Sam’s most desirable holiday destination would be anywhere with mountains, either in winter or summer, because of the stunning scenery and his love of the great outdoors. Sam is a keen and competent skier, and has been skiing since he was five. He has previously worked for a British tour operator in France during skiing season and had the best time.

Louise Granshaw
As a Global Deli Development Coach for FSC, I’m currently living in Kuala Lumpur, for a 9 month project. This role is so diverse and there is never a dull moment. While living in another country, there’s always plenty to learn from both a professional and cultural perspective. I work alongside the local teams throughout various projects, from food safety to operational excellence to supply chain development. I have fully embraced the Asian lifestyle whilst living here, enjoying the street foods, amazing tourist attractions and constant sunshine! You can’t beat a rooftop bar at sunset with views of the Petronas Towers and KL Tower, the skyline in this city is among one of the best in the world.I’m looking forward to making the most of my time here and spending some weekend’s island hopping around Malaysia and neighbouring countries. I’m heading to Bali and Langkawi in the coming months for a weekend break, but also want to visit Thailand, Vietnam and Borneo before I leave – the diving in Borneo, Sabah, is supposed to be one of the best spots in the world so that’s definitely on my bucket list!At the weekends & during my time off I become a tourist again and have explored the whole city, some weekends I’ve headed out to the mountains for some incredible hiking excursions.Opportunities like this are few and far between – I’m continuously learning and developing my local market knowledge, working on a number of exiting projects which will have a lasting impact, and getting to see some incredible parts of the world at the same time.

Sales and Waste Statistical Specialist
Ed Graves
After calling upon Ed to help us out several times, he is now a permanent fixture in the office. Ed loves a medium rare steak with all the trimmings, but is not very keen on fish or seafood, as he thinks anything with a slippery texture is a bit gross. His favourite holiday destinations are America and Switzerland; he has lived in both and loves going back. With America’s large landmass to explore and Switzerland’s picturesque scenery, for Ed they will always be interesting places to go to. Playing and writing music is Ed’s main hobby, and he likes the opportunity to create anything from a big orchestral piece to ambient soundscapes. When playing in a band, he likes the energy that playing rock’n’roll gives. Ed is far too modest to mention any special talents, but we know that he is a very talented musician.

If you are looking for Ben, he can often be spotted at the gym, walking his dog Tom or enjoying a spicy curry; though he’ll give anything to do with snakes a wide berth. I Love working in the food industry having been in it for 15 years and working with household brands such as Young’s and Birds Eye. Following this, I took a career break to have 2 kids and tried a new line in the civil service in Flood Coast risk Management. In between and now coming back to the food industry and a family run business with FSC, I can safely say the sandwich industry is very fast moving, my new role in Procurement involves working across such a broad range of suppliers and product types is hugely exciting and packed with opportunity as FSC is developing its customer portfolio. Eventually I’d love to travel on the Rocky Mountaineer railway, just after it has snowed but before it snows too much and closes for winter. Then travel on to the Calgary and Banff area. When I’m not working its family time; playing with my kids, Swimming, Cooking and everything in between. My main goal overall is to be the best mum and role model to my 2 children.

It’s would be tough to choose my favourite food as I Love the diversity of all different cuisines however my top choices would have to be Indian or Lebanese!I was lucky enough to live in Brazil as a part of my languages degree and it has to be one of my favourite places I’ve lived in and travelled to. For me, the people, culture and vibrancy stand out from everywhere else. My bucket list at the moment consists of Cuba and Mexico as they are both countries rich with history.
